A national
organisation of and for disabled people, supporting over 500 local
and national disability organisations, campaigning for improvements
in disabled people's lives and providing information to support

matters for the people of County Durham.
This
information covers a great range of subjects under the broad heading
of social, health, family and disability. The information may be
national, regional, countywide or local, and is reviewed & updated
at least annually to ensure accuracy. Enquiries by the public of
County Durham can be made via a freephone line, and the information
will be provided either by telephone, email or by post in one of
a range of formats:- print - large print - audio cassette - Braille,
etc.

North is an independent voluntary organisation working throughout
the North of England, based at the Dene Centre in Newcastle upon
Tyne.
It offers
free and confidential services to disabled people of any age including
children and older people, their families, carers and workers. They
